She will protect immigrant communities from unfair treatment she will refuse to prosecute juveniles as adults and she will protect our LGBTQIA+ community from harassment and violence, while also working to protect them.

She grew up splitting her time between NYC and China. When she was four years old, she and her parents went to Beijing where they adopted her sister, Sabrina. In Vanuatu, Eliza was initially part of the Yasur Alliance, but eventually turned on that alliance and joined the Final Four Alliance, along with Chris Daugherty, Scout Cloud Lee, and Twila Tanner, resulting in a major power shift. Eliza Orlins has been a public defender at The Legal Aid Society in Manhattan for 10 years. Eliza Orlins, a 37-year-old public defender, is running in a crowded field to become the Manhattan District Attorney. In 2004, she competed on CBS’s Survivor, an experience that netted her a national following, which she uses to advocate on behalf of criminal justice reform and other social justice issues. Her vision for the DA’s office is centered in decarceration. She supports the legalization of all drugs and the immediate closure of Rikers Island.
